The most common way to travel from New York to Tuscany is by air. There are two primary international airports you can fly into:

Florence Airport (FLR): Located near Florence, it's one of the main gateways to Tuscany.

Pisa International Airport (PSA): Also a major airport serving the region.

You can take a direct flight or a flight with a layover to one of these airports from New York's major airports (JFK, Newark, or LaGuardia). The flight duration is approximately 8-10 hours, depending on the route and layovers.

Transportation
Once you've arrived in Tuscany, you have several options to reach your final destination:

By Car ( highly recommended)
Renting a car is often the most convenient way to explore Tuscany, especially if you're planning to visit rural areas or multiple towns. Major car rental companies operate at both Florence and Pisa airports.
Driving Directions:
Use a GPS or a navigation app to guide you. Tuscany is well-connected by highways and smaller roads, but some rural areas might have limited signage.

By Train
Italy has an extensive and efficient train network. You can take a train from:
Florence Santa Maria Novella Station or Pisa Centrale Station to various parts of Tuscany.

Private Transfer or Taxi
For a more direct and comfortable option, consider booking a private transfer or taxi from the airport to your destination. This can be pre-arranged with a service or booked upon arrival.
